The Stainless Steel 304 Sheet is chemically compounded with the components like chromium, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, carbon, sulfur, molybdenum, and nickel. Besides other components chromium, molybdenum, and nickel are the major contributors to the whole composition. The material is strong and has 205MPa minimum yield strength and 515MPa minimum tensile strength in general. Moreover, it is having commendable IGC resistance after getting into exposure to the temperature ranging from 427 deg C to 816 deg C into the chromium carbide precipitation. Moreover, it is having very good resistance from oxidation and creep strength also. Tempered Steel 347H is the adjusted rendition of the current composite SS 347. The reason for the development of this alloy is to maximize the creep resistance and allowing greater strength at a temperature ranging more than 1000 deg F. The ASTM A240 SS 304 Sheet can withstand high temperatures up to 870 degrees Celsius. The sheets are used for this reason in evaporators, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature applications.
