Precipitation hardenable nickel and copper base alloy fasteners are Monel K500 Fasteners. These fasteners are designed for excellent corrosion resistance, as well as high hardness and strength. It is a nickel copper alloy with a composition of 63 percent nickel and 27 percent copper, as well as other elements.

At this temperature, it becomes more ductile, and toughness is achieved around 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a higher melting point between 2400 and 2460 degrees Fahrenheit. Monel K500 grade is primarily a spark resistant alloy. Below -200 degrees Fahrenheit, this becomes nonmagnetic. It is possible to achieve magnetic structure during cold working operation.
