Detailed Information
Newzel Steel manufactures and supplies Hastelloy C276 Tubes, With the experience of several years, Newzeel Steel produces Hastelloy C276 Tubes of high calibre that are reliable for several industries. The Hastelloy C276 Tubes are made from the highest quality raw materials. We at Newzel Steel have a team of experienced workers who are responsible for the manufacturing of Hastelloy C276 Tubes. The team ensures that all the products are manufactured to meet the requirements and necessities of the customers. Newzel Steel houses a highly equipped manufacturing facility. It allows us to produce these Hastelloy C276 Tubes in different sizes and dimensions.
Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in severe environments. The high nickel and molybdenum contents make the nickel steel alloy especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environments while chromium conveys resistance to oxidizing media. Although there are several variations of the Hastelloy nickel alloy, Hastelloy C-276 is by far the most widely used. The mass or weight of each Hastelloy C276 Seamless Tube is required to be calculated. And the chemical composition of each ASTM B622 UNS N10276 Tube needs to be determined. Similar to most nickel-based alloys, the Hastelloy C276 Tubing has good resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments. To learn more about the price of Alloy C276 Tubing Ex Mumbai. There are hydraulic pipes and round pipe types. The UNS N10276 Tubing can be plain-ended, treaded or bevel-ended. The material has carbon, manganese, silicon, iron, phosphorus, sulphur, and cobalt as well. This composition provides the material with a high melting point of 1370 degrees Celsius. The minimum yield strength of the Hastelloy C276 Seamless Pipe is 355MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 790MPa. The material is also dense with 8.89 grams per centimeter cube. ASTM B622 UNS N10276 Tube can be hot-upset, forged, and impact extruded. Although it tends to work hard, you can have it successfully deep-drawn, spun, punched or press formed. It can be welded by using all common methods of welding. In addition, Hastelloy C276 ERW Tubes resist the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone making them useful for most chemical processes in the as–welded condition. The low carbon content in Hastelloy C276 Round Tubes minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in as-welded structures. The ASTM B622 UNS N10276 pipes are used in organic chloride processing applications, chemical industries, and petrochemical applications. Annealing is possible with the ASTM B619 UNS N10276 material to make it stronger. Machining is difficult on this material but could be achieved with sharp tools and slow processing. Please contact us for further information and inquiries on the 2.4819 Alloy C276 Pipe. Hastelloy C-276® bar is available in the wrought bar up to 12″ diameter and larger sizes and shapes may be forged to order. Hastelloy C-276® seamless pipe is available up to 6″ NB. Larger sizes are available in welded construction (100% X-ray) and can also be fabricated to order. Redrawn tubes and tubing with tight tolerances can be supplied in almost any size no matter how small the size or quantity.
Our quality controllers perform hardness, micro, and macro tests on these Hastelloy C276 Tubes before selling them to our clients. Because of the large range of widths and thicknesses, as well as the variety of tempers available in our Hastelloy C276 Tubes and cut lengths, no levelness resiliences for cold moved hardened steel have been established. The evenness of temper in these Hastelloy C276 Tubes cannot be guaranteed. This Hastelloy C276 Tubes Cap is a globally useful quality that is frequently supplied solidified but machinable for applications requiring high strength, mild temperature, and erosion resistance.

Hastelloy C276 Tool Types and Machining Conditions
RECOMMENDED TOOL TYPES AND MACHINING CONDITIONS | |
---|---|
Operations | Carbide Tools |
Roughing, with severe interruption | Turning or Facing C-2 and C-3 grade: Negative rake square insert, 45 degrees SCEA1, 1/32 in. nose radius. Tool holder: 5-degree neg. back rake, 5-degree neg. side rake. Speed: 30-50 SFM, 0.004-0.008 in. feed, 0.150 in the depth of cut. Dry2, oil3, or water-base coolant4. |
Normal roughing | Turning or Facing C-2 or C-3 grade: Negative rate square insert, 45-degree SCEA, 1/32 in nose radius. Tool holder: 5-degree neg. back rake, 5-degree neg. side rake. Speed: 90 sfm depending on the rigidity of set up, 0.010 in. feed, 0.150 in. depth of cut. Dry, oil, or water-based coolant. |
Finishing | Turning or Facing C-2 or C-3 grade: Positive rake square insert, if possible, 45 degrees SCEA, 1/32 in. nose radius. Tool holder: 5-degree pos. back rake, 5-degree pos. side rake. Speed: 95-110 SFM, 0.005-0.007 in. feed, 0.040 in. depth of cut. Dry or water-based coolant. |
Rough Boring | C-2 or C-3 grade: If inserting type boring bar, use standard positive rake tools with the largest possible SCEA and 1/16 in. nose radius. If brazed tool bar, grind 0 degrees back rake, 10-degree pos. side rake, 1/32 in. nose radius and largest possible SCEA. Speed: 70 sfm depending on the rigidity of setup, 0.005-0.008 in. feed, 1/8 in. depth of cut. Dry, oil or water-based coolant. |
Finish Boring | C-2 or C-3 grade: Use standard positive rake tools on insert-type bars. Grind brazed tools for finish turning and facing except the back rake may be best at 0 degrees. Speed: 95-110 SFM, 0.002-0.004 in feed. Water-base coolant. |
RECOMMENDED TOOL TYPES AND MACHINING CONDITIONS | |
---|---|
Operations | Carbide Tools |
Facing Milling | Carbide is not generally successful, C- grade may work. Use a positive axial and radial rake, 45-degree corner angle, and 10-degree relief angle. Speed: 50-60 sfm. Feed: 0.005-0.008 in. Oil or water-based coolants will reduce thermal shock damage of carbide cutter teeth. |
End Milling | Not recommended, but C-2 grades may be successful on good setups. Use a positive rake. Speed: 50-60 sfm. Feed: Same as high-speed steel. Oil or water-based coolants will reduce thermal shock damage. |
Drilling | C-2 grade is not recommended, but tipped drills may be successful on rigid setups if no great depth. The web must thin to reduce thrust. Use 135 degrees including angle on point. Gun drills can be used. Speed: 50 sfm. Oil or water-based coolant. Coolant-feed carbide-tipped drills may be economical in some setups. |
Reaming | C-2 or C-3 grade: Tipped reamers are recommended, solid carbide reamers require a very good setup. Tool geometry same as high-speed steel. Speed: 50 sfm. Feed: Same as high-speed steel. |
Tapping | Not recommended, machine threads, or roll-form them. |
Electrical Discharge Machining | The alloys can be easily cut using any conventional electrical discharge machining system (EDM) or wire (EDM). |
