They have 265MPa minimum yield strength and up to 580MPa minimum tensile strength. These are intended for use in medium temperature applications where the pressure is high. The ASME SA 516 Gr.60 Plate is used in different sizes. The thickness ranges up to 150mm, the width ranges up to 3.5m and the length can range up to 12m in production. Cut to lengths are also available. SA 516 GR 60 Plates are rustproof and easily can be exposed to moisture and air. These plates have high mechanical properties from low temperature to very high temperature. Besides of copper and molybdenum and copper provide extra resistance to reducing environments. These plates are designed especially to handle a lot of harsh corrosive environments. Chromium addition in these plates gives resistance from the oxidizing agents. These plates are highly resistive from both carbonization and oxidization and also the temperature resistivity is outstanding. ASTM A516 Gr. 60 Carbon Steel Slitting Coils has good mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures to moderately high temperatures up to 538 Degree C. ASME SA 516 Gr. 60 Carbon Steel Perforated Coils, in conjunction with the molybdenum and copper, also gives outstanding resistance to reducing environments such as those containing sulphuric and phosphoric acids.
