Nickel Alloy : Standard Nickel Grades
Nickel 200 – Along with Nickel 201, Nickel 200 is one of the most commonly used standard grades of commercially available pure wrought nickel. These alloys have strong mechanical properties, low electrical resistivity, good magnetostrictive properties, good thermal conductivity, and resilience to various corrosive conditions, especially caustic alkalis. Nickel 200 can be formed and drawn with ease.
Nickel 201 – Since nickel 201 has a very low work hardening rate and is a low carbon variant of nickel 200, it may be cold formed with ease. When temperatures exceed 600°F (315°C), it is recommended over Ni200 because it also provides higher creep resistance.
Nickel 205 – Applications for nickel 205 are similar to those for nickel 200, but more frequently, better purity and conductivity are required. By changing the composition of Ni200, nickel 205 is created. The qualities required for electrical and electronic applications are improved by these changes.

Applications
Leads for electrical and electronic components as well as lead-in-wire components for lights are made of nickel 200 and 201 alloys. They are used to create filters and wire mesh for the chemical and petrochemical industries. Additionally, they are utilized in Ni-Cd batteries, overlay welding, and the production of flux-cored wires for use in welding.
Ni 205 is frequently used to make wire mesh and filters for the chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as transistor housings, lead wires, and anodes for electronic valves.
