𝗧𝗲𝗲𝘀 are commonly used pipe connectors that unite or divide flow pathways in piping systems.

However, in pipes that require pigging (𝙥𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙥𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨), a particular sort of tee called a 𝝗𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙚𝙚 is employed.

– Allows fluid to flow through the main pipe and branch out.

– Two types: Equal tee (branch is the same size as the main) and declining tee

– Governed by standards like ASME B16.9 or MSS-SP 75 for dimensions.

– Based on an equal or reduced standard tee, 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙗𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙚𝙚 𝙒𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙝 𝙤𝙪𝙦𝙚𝙤.

– Bars stop pigs from entering the branch pipes from the main pipe.

– Based on ASME B16.9/MSS-SP 75 tees, custom dimensions are used instead of universal ones.

– Some manufacturers adhere to ISO 15590-2 requirements.
